House Warming!

Yes! I moved (again) but I will say that this place is a palace... that's why we called it 'The House of Lancaster II'. The actual move was horrendous. Jp and I got up at about 8ish so we could go and pick up the truck at 9. when we got to the rental place their was another customer there that booked a truck a month ago, and they didn't have any left except the one that we had... Soooo since were such nice people, we gave them the 10 foot truck, and we got the 16 foot truck. It turned out to be a total blessing in disguise. We got to Natiea and Stephen's house at about 10 am. The move when pretty smoothly, cause they lived in the same complex, with Natiea on the 2nd floor and Stephen in the basement. With their stuff combined, they took up the whole van. Packed and unloaded by 2ish... not bad. Then we were off to the house of stuff! (sorry hunny.) Jp's knees arnt in the greatest shape right now, and the moving that we already did kinda took the juice outta his legs, so I called Josh up and he came over to help. I wish we would have had him the whole time... he kicked all of our ass's outta the water in the moving department. Jp's stuff consumed the entire truck! When we were packing his books it was like a game of Tetris. Oh! and did I mention that Jp lives on the 3rd floor and were moving to the 3rd floor?!When we got back home to our new pad to unload, Jean and Giles were there to help us out, that was super sweet of them to do that. So by the time we unloaded it was about 9ish... we started packing Jp around 3pm. We had barley eaten all day so we went for roti and blizzards. Problem was we ate the blizzards first cause the roti's were going to take about 20 mins. Gut Rot! we made it down to my place at about 11pm, and it was just the four of us. We were all soooo tired, and bent outta shape that it took forever for us to move my stuff, and it started to rain as well. we finally got everything in the truck and we didn't have enough room for the four of us including the 2 cats, so Stephen and Natiea sat in the back of the truck... they said that they just pretended that they were being kidnapped. Ha! we dropped them off at the metro, and they took the last one home. When we got to our new abode, we were all sooo beat from the day that we had no energy to unpack. Problem was we couldn't just do it tomorrow cause then we would have to rent the van for another day and that's another 130 buck. Stephen and Natiea said that they were totally out and couldn't help anymore cause they were completely exhausted but were willing to help us in the morning. We hadn't really decided if we were going to rent the truck for another day or not, so we said that it was all good and for them to go get some shut eye. I got up at 5am and started to unload the truck. Jp came shortly after to help me, and we pulled everything outta the truck and put it on the ground so Jp could take the truck back for 7am. After he left it was one of the most grueling experiences of my life, I thought that the pile was never going to thin out and that I was just going to collapse any second. (Actually there was the one time where Dayne and I had to moved everything from Frenchies house in Hochelaga to St. Henri on our bikes. It was Horrible... but not as bad as this.) So moral of the story is to not hoard so much shit... its hard, and I use it all... I try and justify it by saying that I'm an artist, so I have tons of supplies. Its true, though!

Last Saturday we had our house warming party. It was really fun, lots of people came and Sean even made a whole pot of linguine for everyone to have some. Despite that some random chick that no one knew drank my entire drink right after I made and, and Sean wrote his email address on the wall, the place didn't get trashed, so there wasn't much to clean up in the morning.

I didn't really get a chance to take very many photos cause I was distracted, and the ones that I did take were mostly blurry cause I didn't want to use a flash. Here's one of Jemery talking to Jp, he made a really cute face right after I took the photo... oh well. I like this one of Cait, she looks like a china doll, and of course one of Rob's infamous penis drawings.

I love my new home, its amazing, and my roommates are amazing, and my life is amazing.
