More People Need To Think Like This

Circular Painting from Fly on the Wall on Vimeo.

A Fly On The Wall is a stop motion, timelapse, motion control in a circular canvas film made for Discovery Channel in South Africa. The theme was the environment and the artist's responses to it. Numerous street artists, musicians, painters and animators contributed their talent and time for the cause over a non-stop 12 hour period to make the final 2 minute film. the film was conceptualized and directed by Bryan Little of Fly on the Wall.

Photoshoot in the pencil box

If any of you have ever been into OCAD's horrendous "pencil box" then you will know exactly where I am...

Sarah decided that this would be an opportune time to take photos of me in the window sill, she was so excited cause she had never been up there before.. and its her school! Ha! Silly Sarah!

In Progress...update.

So I'm not too sure exactly how I feel about this yet. For the past few months I have been staring at this canvas and slowly warming up to it, and when I finally felt comfortable with it, I think I'm ready to add... and then I end up in the same spot as I was before. I did learn a lot though. When you apply gel medium to the transparent paper it turns into this elastic kinda stuff, and it doesn't work so well for over lapping, but the new piece that I'm working on is totally fuckin rad, and now I know what I need to do to make it better, which is really nice.

I'll warm up to it eventually, but right now I'm pretty partial. The concept is formulating... finally. Its taken a few years, but its finally going in the direction that I want it too. All in due time.

PSC REPRESENT!!!

Greg Ryan.

I think I know where you went. I hope I know where you are.

Happy and safe.

You were on my mind at
least nine tenths of yesterday.

And if home is really where the heart is
Then we're the smartest kids I know,
Because where ever we are in this great big world
We'll never be more than a few hours from home.

TWATSO.

This is my friend Matt Waston's art show. Hes from Ottawa, and he just moved to Vancouver (GAWD knows why!!!) with his lovely lady. The tower is just like the abandoned buildings in St. Henri. Once i climbed up into an old boarded grain elevator with a bunch of kids and it was really fuckin windy and i thought we were gonna die! wait... thats a whole nother story all together. Anyway, we went up there to watch the fireworks competion and thats when i first dicovered my blot clot on my leg, remember that!!! ha!.. ( maybe i should actually put some care and detail into my life stories.. maybe some other time. ~ self reflection perhaps?!!?~) I really wanted to buy the Chevy truck piece for Jarivs, but i didnt have any money at the time. It sold anyway.. oh well.

Im going to miss Matt, he had great stories and we have the same graff backgound (which is rare to find these days) but hes movin on up to bigger and better things.

Take care, be well, and enjoy, Matt.
