These remind me of you.

Stairway to Heaven...

Not really, but I do like these stairs... a lot. It was hard to take a photo of them, people kept walking down... perhaps another time.

tapes n' stuff n' past n' things

So spring is here. I never really got the "jist" of downloading music over the winter. I tried. Some one once told me that "trying is dying." Ya well, what benefit did I gain from it anyway? I banged on some keys and got a bunch of shit that I didn't ask for. I have to spend more time then I have to find the correct order of the album, and to check and see if all the songs are even there. I suppose I got some good outta it. I do have a vast libary of music on and off of the tuter... reguardless, it still wanst good enough. So its nice out side, and I can open my window, and I'm drawin like a maniac... what to listen to? Ahhhh yes, break out the tapes. Oh man... they say that smell is the greatest sense of memory, but I beg to differ. I can listen to these tapes and tell you excatly where I was, how old I was, what I was doing, what I was wearing, who I was with, how I felt... everything... I could totally recreate exactly what I was experiencing at that moment that I first felt that song. Amazing really... can anyone else do that? I had a dentist once that told me that I should write a book... im a horrible writer, but it would be a good story, I can tell you that much.

what would I recommend? huh... well, thats tricky... here let me brief it for you.

1996/97.... Arron Rosso, Melissa Anne Bouchand, Josh Toews, illicit, SNUG, young and too smart, firehall, freedom beyond control. contradiction, is it? if you only knew....

It might be dated, or blah, or unreferencing for some, but Roni Size- New Forums can make me cry. The guys a fuckin genius...

Oh and to add to the list... 2 best songs for my entire life soundtrack:

1.) Freak Flow-Tits- Foul Play-Music is the key feat. Denise Gordon

2.) Aphrodite vs. Mickey Finn- Wishing on a star

If you know anything about music, then these samples shouldn't be hard to guess.

70's Child

Holy Fuckin Shit!!!!

Look at me... feathered hair, big tits, big ass...fuckin hell... total 70's child.

Somethings never change.

Corproate whore

So Dan hooked me up with a gig printing on some paper bags for Zoo York... some promo jean give away... I dunno, but its cool... I made some dilladeans, and I was super stoaked to do it. Im mean really... they get a good deal for uber cheap and I get my name out. Doing what? Corporate logos? Out on the "market"? Not sure, nor do I really care, I'm just really happy that he thought of me to do it and I actually got the gig. It feels good, you know...?

Thanks Dan...

Heavy Pedal #2

Ya it was rainy and cold.. sheeeeeeeet... theres still some troopers out there, though. I didn't take many photos cause I was cold as faaaaaaaaaack, but I snapped a few. I really like this one of Tony, I like taking photos of Tony, dudes got good energy. As for the other ones... meh, total snap shots... no value... but its documentation. As upon request I'm posting a video of Danielle doing an over the bar skid, or the official name " le dog pisser." Ha! gets me every time...

Im not going to post the footdown comp. cause everyones already seen it on Phil's facebook, and as far as I'm concerned facebook is gay.

Oh ya, apparently we go some kinda mentions in the Montreal Mirror and when Danielle was called for an interview she told them it wasn't Revolution and to go away... or "byeeeeeeeeeeee" as you would say on the telephone... hahaha fuckin rights! I love that girl... its just about having fun and riding bikes, you know... ?!?!

Heavy Pedal #3

It was tons of fun! Really, really was! Lots of people came, and everyone was smiles... could be perhaps that it finally stopped snowing and the sun is finally out. So this one was an alleycat, and Colin was first Mens, and Alison (Mo's girlfriend) was first Women...

Heres the two Dee's posing for the bike crew Hot Femmes On Bikes! Ha! I look like my mother... yikes!

I'm excited to see who wins next weekend?!?!

Reincarnation...

I wonder who I was in the Victorian era?

This tool was one of the things that amazed me as a child. No, I wasn't one of those crazy kids and just stood at the sharpener and jammed all their pencils in until they were all gone, I just really liked the sound. The feeling of the pencil being chewed up with beautiful precision, I could feel the vibration on my little, but long hands. I could have been a child piano prodigy with these hands.

I was in the wood shop mastering the miter saw, and I was over come with happiness when I saw that sharpener. I even weld up. I dunno, it could be perhaps that I'm a woman coming of age and my hormone's are uber sensitive or I really did love the sharpener that much. I loved that I could take off that odd egg shaped container/bucket/catcher and look inside and could even tell who else had sharpened their pencils that day. There was a club... a sticker trading club that the girls started at school cause doing that was wayyy cooler then going out side and playing. I wasn't invited... not until grade 4. So to make myself feel special I would collect pencil shavings and eraser bits. You know when you erase something and you would have these little bits of eraser all rolled up and you would careless blow them away. Well, to me they were lovely little gemstones. Call me neurotic, or call me that weird little girl that dressed like a boy and could ride her bike better than anyone, thats ok... like I've said time and time again, its was never meant for you anyway.

I'm not to fond of the photo itself, perhaps I can catch it another day.

I never bothered to open up the pencil sharpener at the wood shop to see how many shaving were in it... I'm too busy collecting scabs and fingernails now.

Bikey Ridey Smashy Crashy

So this is a CMYK print that I did yesterday. Iv done one in litho and it turned out great, and I did one in screen a last year and it turned out like shit. So it order to hone my technical skills, I thought I would give it a go again. I also though if I printed out my transparencies with registration marks all would be good. WRONG! Apparently the machine the we print out our transparencies on some times over heats so the mylar expands. I pulled my C, no problem. I pull my M... big problem. so I had to register by eye and its off, so i got a crazy moray pattern. Not so happy, but I'll just do another one next year.

Still funny lookin photo though.

SORRY

was the name of the show that my friend Ryan had for his master's defense. Can you believe it?!? When you think its time to graduate with your master's, you have to go and defend yourself to see if "they" think your good enough to hold the title. Crazy!

This is a self portrait. It says boobs on the calculator.

Upon Request

Iv been told by a few that I don't update my blog enough. Sorry, dudes... I didn't know people actually checked it. Ha! Thanks.. you make me feel important...

Heres another 4am portrait in the studio. I look happy and peaceful, non?

Maybe its just the sleep deprivation kicked into over drive.

Heavy Pedal #1

Considering the mininal advertising that we did the turn out was pretty good. It was a beautiful Saturday, and it wasn't snowing for once. Ha! There were the regulars and a few faces that I didn't recognize, but all in all everyone had a good time. The idea that Danielle and I had was to ride to different parks in the city and drink a beer in each. We came to this one park around Parc and Mount Royal and there was this lil round about thingy in the middle. KIEREN RACING!!! It was pretty dangerous though. There was this man hole cover and around it the concrete was all warped, and concaved. So really the object of the game/race was to make to around without totally eating shit. Ha! it was inevitable.

Matt was the final winner, and made it round without bailing once! Nice jorb, Matty!!!

This lil clip is of Jacques and his girlfriend. I love it how the girl always gets the bike in the end.

NOTICE: No Admittance except on Pleasure

I always walk by this bookstore when I have to walk home from school cause its 4am and I havent figured out then night bus schedule yet. I find them to be a more appealing tool then the current hype today. though, I don't really find myself in these sort of establishments often. Perhaps its because I don't ever walk the street of Montreal until 4am.

Under the piles of cheesy romance novels, books on mummies, sports and such, you will never be dissipointed. Just another cycle. Why don't people understand that.

Happy Birthday, Luke!!!

It was my darling Luke's birthday on Friday. He's my only gay friend in Montreal, and if I didn't have him I wouldn't be in the know at all. Thats why I recommend that everyone must have at LEAST one gay friend.

Luke, I love you.

xoxo

Over 200 people came to the vernissage, it was packed. Tons of food, free wine and apple juice.

No one came that I invited. Go figure.

Here is a photo that was taken after the vernissage of some of the people that were in the show.

I was happy though, kinda. A little nervous, and sorta taken back by all the people. I stood around like a wall flower most of the night. People were kinda timid to open up the books, but some people just dove right it. Im going to do a similar installation soon, on a much larger scale. This summer...
